This is how I rank the Radiohead studio albums, inspired from a conversation this weekend. This list isn’t static, but reflects how I feel as of right now. Also, I don’t really think Radiohead made a bad album. I still listen to Pablo Honey on occasion and enjoy it.
1. Ok Computer, 1997

Just amazing. The perfect concept album. People will be listening to this a hundred years from now.
2. Kid A, 2000
Mind-blowingly good. Where were you the first time you heard, “Everything in Its Right Place”? Could easily be my number 1.
3. In Rainbows, 2007

Yes, Radiohead is still making some amazing music. This one keeps climbing up my list. Amazing songs and melodies.
4. The Bends, 1995

This is the album that solidified, for me, the greatness of the band. Every song is a classic.
5. Amnesiac, 2001

Not as complete as Kid A for me, but still has some of the best Radiohead songs ever put out.
6. Hail To The Theif, 2003

Every time I listen to this I enjoy it more.
7. Pablo Honey, 1993

Great energy and some classic songs. Still finding themselves.

Sweet…I am going to get started on my blog/lists on my 15-hour flight to Australia on Friday. As of tonight, I say:
1 Kid A
2 OK Computer
3 In Rainbows
4 The Bends
5 Amnesiac
6 Hail to the Thief
7 Pablo Honey
Sweet! Looking forward to it. Send it my way and I’ll put a link to it!
I could have easily put In rainbows in front of The Bends but the only reason I didn’t is I’ve listened to The Bends maybe a hundred times more than In Rainbows. With a little time In Rainbows could move up.
In Rainbows and Kid A swap around a bit for me, but today it’s:
1) OK Computer
2) In Rainbows
3) Kid A
4) The Bends
5) Amnesiac
6) Hail to the Thief
7) Pablo Honey
Nice. Yeah, It’s interesting that the last two for the three of us is:
6. Hail To The Thief
7. Pablo Honey
my only change would be Kid A and Ok Computer switching places.
I could see that.
